My Interest: Jesse Creasey married Caroline Parry in 1869. Caroline Parry was the daughter of Edward Parry and Sarah Benneyworth Caroline Parry (born Q1 1845) Caroline was born in 1845. She was the daughter of Edward Parry and Sarah Benneyworth who married in late 1846. Edward Parry (born about 1811) Unmarried Edward (age 30) and his widower father William are recorded in the 1841 census at  Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Also living or staying with them were  three Benneyworth children; Edward, Sarah and Mary. There was quite possibly a family connection between the Parry's and Benneworth's. Sarah Benneyworth and Edward Parry married in Q4 1846. The marriage was delayed until Sarah was 16, by which time Edward was 35 and they had two daughters (Caroline and Emily). Both daughters were recorded with the surname Benneyworth at birth. A double-barrelled shotgun marriage if ever there was one. The 1851 census records Edward and his wife Sarah and daughters Caroline and Emily living with Edward's father William at Pond Hill, Hatfield, Hertfordshire. I cannot find any children for them after their marriage. I am a descendant of Edward and Sarah's daughter Emily who married John Varnham in 1868. Their daughter, Mary Agnes Varnham married Robert Marsh in 1906. Wombat
