ancient Worcestershire house of Attwood of Park Attwood, Wolverley
and Perdiswell. GEORGE ATTWOOD, of Austcliff in Wolverley, Worcs, paid a heriot on the death of his f, Richard Attwood, of Austcliff, and surrendered the property to the Lord of
the Manor (the Prior or Bp Worcester) in 1530-31, this messuage
and land having belonged to his forefather Thomas Attwood, of Austcliff, in 1434-35. George Attwood appears to have
subsequently settled at 1a George, of 2a Richard, of 3a GEORGE, of whom presently. The 3rd son, GEORGE ATTWOOD, of The 2nd son, EDWARD ATTWOOD, of the Furnace, Halesowen; married 9 Nov
1630, Anne Mason (buried 10 Sept 1686), and was buried 19 Feb
1679-80, leaving, with other issue, GEORGE ATTWOOD, of Halesowen and of Haden Cross, Staffs; baptised
at Halesowen 22 Dec 1639; married 1 May, 1678, Mary Melly otherwise Foley, of Halesowen, and left, with other
issue, an elder surviving son, GEORGE ATTWOOD, of Haden Cross; baptised 5 April, 1686; married
Sarah Bowater, of Rowley Regis, and had, with other issue, an eldest son, GEORGE ATTWOOD, of Haden Cross, who again became resident in
Halesowen by his purchase of the estate of Hawne

Halesowen, and sis, and in her issue eventually sole heiress of her last
surviving brother Charles Adams, of Cakemore House,

also of Hawne House and The Leasowes,

Mary, daughter of Thomas Kinnersley, DL, of
