He married 2nd, 15 April, 1852, Georgiana Susanna (died 16 Jan 1888), daughter of George Madgwick Davidson, of Warmley, nr Bristol, and died 4 Feb 1870, having by her had issue, an only child,

WILLIAM BUTLER WASBROUGH, of Hanover Lodge, Harrow-on-the-Hill, Middx, JP (1919); born 6 Aug 1857; educated Eton, and Trin College Cambridge (MA, LLB); married 6 Aug 1889, Isabella Dora (died 6 Dec 1947), only daughter of Capt Edward Lewis Knight, of Hornacot Manor, Cornwall (see 1937 edn, KNIGHT of Wolverley), and died 31 Jan 1943, having had issue,

1a William Lewis, served in WW I; born 21 July, 1891; educated Eton, and Trin College Cambridge, killed in action , 25 Sept 1915, v.p.

2a •HENRY JOHN, of whom we treat.

1a •Helen Mary Dora (Laxfirth, Marehill Common, Pulborough, Sussex); born 8 Dec 1892; married 7 June, 1918, Capt Andrew Hay, RA, s of Lt-Col Henry Hay, 1st (D.C.O.) Bombay Lancers, and has issue, three sons. He died 22 Oct 1948.

2a •Dorothy Sydney (Higher Hill, Hittisleigh, nr Exeter, Devon); born 29 Dec 1895; married 11 Oct 1917, Rev Charles Lennox Ridgeway, younger son of Rev William Henry Ridgeway, Rector of Sternfield, Suffolk, and has issue (see 1952 edn, RIDGEWAY of Hittisleigh). He died 7 Feb 1957.
