Edward Mary and Sarah
In the 1841 census we have Edward Parry, aged 30, living with his widowed father, William (both were harness makers) in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Also living with them were three Bennyworth children: Edward (aged 20), Mary (aged 12) and Sarah (aged 10). I think it is likely that the Bennyworth children’s parents were dead and that they were related to the Parry’s.
I am going to work on proving a family link between them because it makes what happened next even more interesting.
 By the middle of 1844, Edward Parry (aged 33) was knocking off young Sarah (aged 13) and a child, Caroline was born at Hatfield in Q1 1845. Another child, Emily was born at Hatfield in Q3 1846. Edward Parry and Sarah Benneyworth married in Q4 1846, probably after Sarah turned 16 years old. I haven’t found any more children born after their marriage.
Caroline was registered at birth as Caroline Benneworth and Emily as Emily Parry Benneyworth.
